She fancies us children [1996]
She fancies us children
in a house of infants,
all grown,
forgotten
that deep deep inside.
They are all young as us,
wide eyed naive as us,
not quite as bold as us,
they twice as old as us.
We just as young,
just as knowing
as not knowing,
just as wanting.
She fancies us children,
knowing better,
knowing less.
