Song 3: Troposphere [1999]
we survived, lived to tell the tale
to someone who could have known
of horrors fie we saw in the sky
and how the gale had blown
we held fast, tried to put to sail
our tortured ship to seas beyond
the lightning struck with hazard luck
and the thick'ning mist despond
we pressed on, though many fell pale
and when the sky had darkened deep
the temptress sea did hazily
bade us anon to sleep
we stood forth, clawed our eyes and wailed
to command them to hold ope fast
and though some fell neath Neptune's spell
we survived until the last
we'll not tell, though we may quail
of what picked us from the clouds
a flashing, burning, is all we'll say
lest the words escape our mouthes
we search still, and our courage fails
as the glass stars chill the night
but a stronger ship we did equip
ere again we took to flight
we take aim, our enemies fail
set our course to the troposphere
now with cannons full and armored hull
we'll meet our greatest fear
